Hey guys, I have been wondering about these, I have 82k miles, all is quiet so far, I did a search, found this from Art..2006

If you're taking it apart, you might as well change 'em. And the guides. And the tensioner.[
so I am guessing I should be good for a while yet, with regular oil changes & such..anyone else had an earlier failure or replaced on spec?
With proper oil changes-the chains are good for 300K+ miles.
You wouldn't believe how many miles some of the taxis and fleet modulars have on them with original parts.

Johnny is right, we've now heard of people going near the 300K mark and with proper oil changes (and using the CORRECT weight oil) they do last nearly forever.
There is no "recommended change interval" for these chains like there is for timing belts.
