Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. These trucks look great lowered! I do not for one understand jacking them up, but I can respect it. Check out user Brewtl's truck. It is the sexiest truck I have ever seen. If I have the cash to have it done, or the skill to do it myself, I would do the same thing.
I agree 100% with you here though. If you were to put some 13" daton wires or something on it........yikes..... I must say, I love a lowered truck with 18"s or 20"s

There is nothing different bracketry wise about an 80-82 truck, it's just the stock beams are different, 80-81 have kingpins, 82 has stamped beams(I think 83 does also) either way, you can use a lowering kit for a later truck, just use the knuckles from a truck that matches the year of the truck the beams are intended for.
