Anyone here have a hydrogen generator on their IDI?
Just curious if anyone has one of these on their diesel. Im thinking about trying to make one for my 7.3 N/A diesel. I dont really want to waste my time though if it is impractical or ineffective. If noone heres got one on theirs then Ill do it and post the results for yall to read.

I'd love to know how it works if you do make one. Theres a guy I work with who makes his own "generators" with stuff he scrounges up and boughten electrical components. He put one on an older Escort and swears the thing works. I see know reason why it wouldn't work on a diesel, afterall, the combusting fuel would be enough to ignite the hydro. Keep us posted.

well keep us posted my friend was convinced and tried it on an older toyota gasser and it worked but got worse millage due to the 02 sensor. he installed the o2 sensor to make it a little leaner and it got better miles but it would have done that with or without the generator then. But he didnt see anything signifigant.

metal + water + 12v to put it simple.
might have to use baking soda to help speed up the process. the more surface area the more bubbles. you will need an amp clamp to meter how much you make and for what wiring to run safely. also need a relay so its an on off switch. and sealed up with a tube to the intake.

you definitely are not a rocket scientist, hydrogen will ignite, in fact that's what rockets are propelled with. hydrogen and oxygen.

Not to pick nits but Mythbusters did a show on that "event" and concluded that there was absolutely no way that hydrogen alone made that spectacular of a fireball. Their conclusion was that a mixture of metals in the outer coating acted like thermite and created the famous fireball... Not exactly 100% relevant, just thought some might like to know...
