The cab doesn't HAVE to come off - it just makes it easier for the techs.
DPF isn't ALWAYS running - but it does do it automatically every ~300 miles or so and if you don't drive on the highway a lot (short drives) it's going to get stuc in the regen mode until it can run long enough to finish meaning you're fuel mileage will suck the big one.
Upside is you can delete the whole thing and get your computer reprogrammed for a few huundys maybe a k.
my Dad has a 08, crewcab long box dually, its a fun pickup to drive.. when its raining you can drift corners in town. he has laid down 4 15ft blackmarks by building the turbo pressure and lettin off the brake and flooring it.. No complaints besides fuel consumption
I used to do that with my dad's 7.3 dually in highschool when my f150 was broke back in the day :doh: Poor thing is about worn out these days. I may have had something to do with that LOL
