tranny swap?

i have a 1977 ford f250 custom 2wd with a 400m in it and i am wondering if the tranny will mesh up with a 1977 highboy 4x4?

Are you saying that you're taking the entire engine plus transmission out of the 2WD, and putting them both in the Highboy? Or is there a different engine in the Highboy already?

So it would be an entire drivetrain swap? correct? O and its just "400". No "M" on the 400, just on the 351M. Sorry its just a pet peave of mine. Well if you want to keep the 4wd you"ll need a 4wd C6.
