i am putting a 5.0 from a bronco into a 63 falcon.
i got a dizzy for a 85 mustang with steel gear and vac. advance to replace the fuelie dizzy as i am going with a carburator.
the problem i have is the replacement dizzy is about a 1/2
inch shorter, so the oil driveshaft won't go in as far.
do i need a longer driveshaft or is the one i have long enough?
thanks

The gear material on the dizzy needs to be matched to the cam as well.
i turned the fuelie one in as a core
i compared it at the store.
the gears were equal, its just that the fuelie dizzy was about 1/2 inch longer at the bottom
i looked up oil driveshafts at summit racing and there is no mention of different lengths
i have to change the oil pan to a front sump so ill put a new pump and driveshaft on then
thanks for the reply
