Replacing Manifold Gasket RH side...
I need to replace the manifold gasket on the right hand side (pass side). I took it to an exhaust place and they said a minimum of $400. Does that sound right? How hard of a job would it be to do myslef? I am by no means a mechanic. Is the job simple enough to do in my driveway with no lift? Any input would be great before I go drop 400. The guy said there was a valve that needed to be replace also. EGR valve I think he said.

Has someone else replaced the manifold previously?......Stock they will not have gaskets.
If you are not mechanically inclined, I would get some more estimates........If you are brave enough to want to attempt it, we can talk you through it.....EGR valves are simple R&R jobs.

I got another quote from a mom and pop shop and they said $150 - $200. I think I'll give them a shot.I think my cat is clogged up also. When I rev the engine in park it sounds normal. when I rev the engine in gear it sounds like a go cart.
