Questions about a mule

hey guys i am in desprate need of some help, our Kawasaki mule 2500 is just not running right. I have changed the plugs about a week or two ago and today when i pulled one the plug was covered with black carbon, at least thats what i think it is,Its really balck. it idles ruff and is hard to start, My guess is that its running way too rich and need a timeing adjustment, any idea that any one might have would be a tremoundus help, thanks in advance Ryan

Sounds like maybe you have bad rings on one cylinder and oil could be fouling the plug.

Questions about a mule

I don't have a mule but... I'd start with the air cleaner and see if you might have a blockage, leaves, mud, pack rat etc. Then I'd continue looking in the air passages. That's a lot easier than yanking a head. I don't neccesarily disagree on the rings but I'd sure look at the other things before opening up the engine. May be your choke cable is out of adjustment. Could be several things
