I recently bought an 08 F350 Lariat. It has the optional lock/unlock keypad. Problem is no owners manual and the dealer is useless. I called a Ford dealer and was told I needed to bring it in so they can get the code from the computer, price $89.99. Is this the case or is the code somewhere on the truck?
Find rhe original selling dealer and they may have recorded it in the original truck sales folder. Or might get to know you local dealer and while you have in it for some maintenance (oil change, fuel filter, etc) they will most likely get it for you for free. If you have never spent a cent in the dealer, they aren't going to be to crazy about doing something for free for you.
I just went through the same problem when I bought my truck. I went back to the local dealer where I bought it and it took about 5 minutes for them to pull it out via the OBDII port. If you bought privately then I understand the dealer charging you because there is no divested interest in you as a customer. I agree with the others in waiting for service and patronizing the dealer to grease the wheels and get it for free with an oil change. As far as finding it anywhere else in the truck, I tried everywhere and it is not to be found other than the card in the Owner's manual which is obviously gone. Good Luck!!
