just bought AC

Now that I finally have that '60 back to shape after my accident, I still have plenty in my bank account for fun . So I bought myself an AC from Nostalgic Air Parts. It was $695 for a full kit.

So far I'm very happy with the service, free shipping, and a phone call less than 15 minutes after I ordered informing me that they did not have a bracket for a 223 i-6, and they would send me a bracket for a 200. If it didn't fit, they would send me the metal and parts to fabricate a bracket.

Luddle,
What system did you buy from NAP? Underdash or Indash? Keep us posted. I bought some grommets from NAP the other day.

I bought the underdash, kind of an eyesore from the picture, but nothing some paint to match wont fix.

I'll keep updating.

Forget the eyesore. When that baby starts to freeze you out you will forget all else.

Nice site for stuff. I had taken one of those off and was going to add behind the dash. never got around to doing that yet. Mine worked great.

I like that it looks like it will just pump out the cold air with those huge vents. UPS tracking says it will arrive on the 28th.

Here is a week old installation. I have detected a leak although at the condensor. Prior to the leak she was registering 40 degrees at the vent. I think yours will do fine Luddle

This is the unit the underdash replaced.

Looks good Donald! You should be able to keep those orange drinks you are so fond of nice and cold by holding them in front of the vents.lol

Wow, 40*? Impressive. Yeah as anyone from here will tell you, it gets so hot here, it takes all the fun out of driving a classic.

Just got it today, little late to start installing stuff. The compressor mount will not work so I'm going to have to fabricate one. Looks like it's going to be a straightforward install.
