How can that be? Exhaust gasses can reach as much as 2,000 degrees right there.

Don't ask me, I just know it works. That's how I put the headers on my 460 ten years ago. Now, its done its fair share of sitting, but I abuse it when I run it. And when you walk in front of the truck all you hear is the fan spinning, no leaks. And I used it to install a manifold on my daily driven Bronco. Drove it for 7 years without any leaks. It's like Nike, Just Do It.

If you wheren't in mass, I'd say do them yourself, but I have a feeling you are in for a rusty experience

my truck is pretty clean top and bottom. i don't really think it will be an issue. i don't have a lift or air tools, so i won't attempt it!

That's not an offer, that's a question and a statement.

bbk's came in last week. hw and long gaskets included, but no donut gaskets. there is no donut gasket from the factory either, so i assume they aren't needed. also, is the header hw good enough, or should i use oem hw?

You don't need donut gaskets just 2 bolts and 2 nuts per header, and since the headers are not a factory option, there is no OEM hardware for them.

Did you get my email? You never responded.

ok, i just checked the hw. i have 16 bolts, 4 double ended studs, 4 nuts, 4 regular washers, and 4 lock washers. i assume i will need to buy the manifold to cat hw? im gonna order a new egr tube and adapter just in case the one on there gives us a problem. if they come off easy, ill return the new parts!

i have a friend doing the headers sunday while i am at my baseball games. i will try to have him take before and after pics.
