Hey gang, before ya'all go off on me bout what power brake thiscar came from let me remind you I ownboth a 53 Ford Panel Delivery and a 78 F-100 Stepside .
Anyway the wife bought a ragged out 1987 Mustang L X . It has the power disc's . The pedal travel is exessive even though I have adjusted the rear brakes and bled the system twice. I seem to remember some one somewhere on te forum tellingsomeone that you could adustthe pedal travel from under the dash , that right ? Ya'all can e- mail me at edshaver @ ymail . Ed Shaver
I've never heard of being able to adjust the brake pedal travel in a mustang or any other vehicle. Have you checked to see if the back brakes were wet with brake fluid, are you sure your master cylinder is operating correctly. Is there any fluid loss when it sits for a while, are you sure you bled them properly and thoroughly. Just some ideas to throw at you.
Check with No Limit Engineering, they make a "ratio adapter" that bolts on and changes your pedal ratio. it is not in their catalog, it comes in the P/B kits that they make, but they will sel it seporate if you call them.
