Hey guys, I've got a 2003 6.0 with about 85k on it. The truck has started shaking but only once I hit approx 22 mph and then it starts to subside as I climb in speed. I thought it might be a tranny issue as that's the speed it shifts into 3rd but then I left it in tow/haul mode to keep it in 2nd and I had the same problem. The shaking ONLY occurs when I'm on the throttle. I've got a mechanically inclined friend who told me to check fuel pressure 1st but I've got a Vegistroke installed on it (has its own fuel pump) and the problem persists whether running veggie oil or diesel. Next he thought it could be injectors. It does feel as though I've slowly lost a little power over time. I have a Banks 6-gun Big Hoss Bundle on it and the power was insane when 1st installed and just doesn't have quite the same zip anymore. Any thoughts/suggestions? Could I have dropped balancing weights? If so, where/what should I look for? Thanks for any help!!
I experienced the same think about a month ago and it ended up being the fuel pump. pressure only dropped when engine was under a load had to drive down the road with gauges strapped to wipers to diagnose, also had 4 new injectors installed 83K on it .

So edabb, did you need new injectors as well? Like I mentioned, I'm running a Vegistroke with its own fuel pump as well and still produced the same problem. Makes me think injectors are the likely culprit.
I know some other people that have tired to run bio fuels and they ended up stopping up there injectors on the 6.0l. The ford dealership I deal with said not to run nothing but #2 diesel. they had to replace all 8 injectors on one of the trucks while I was there' due to running biodiesel.
It took a while to diagnose the problem with my truck, It would run fine up to 2000rpm and then would start shaking like crazy when I held it in any gear up to 3500rpm. The computer showed I had 4 bad injectors we replaced the 4 injectors and the computer still showed they were bad after changing them. so they started leaning toward the FICM we changed it with a spare they had, didnt fix the problem. They then started looking at the fuel pump and it ended up being the culprit. luckily they replaced the injuctors under warranty
