A/c issue

My air works just fine, the problem is it only comes out my defrost, heat as well. It has happened to me once before, both times after I had work done at the dealer. The last time it was a vacuum line that came off but this time it looks like everything is in tact. Any ideas????

Look again for that vacuum problem.

Coming out of the defrost is the clue. Defrost is the federally-mandated no-vacuum default.

Can you get the heater to work out of the vents?

Thanks, unfortunatly Im not real truck savvy but I have looked everywhere under the hood and I cant find any vacume hoses disconected. One thing I failed to mention, when I am at idle there is a very strong Diesel oder coming in through the vents.
And no I don't feel the heat come through the vents, It seems to be the same temp no matter how high I set it, the only way it changes is if I turn on the A/C
