Gremlins!
So about 10 days after the new CPS "grey" was installed the truck hit a rough patch in the road and the truck started up with a bucking from the engine and throwing CEL. Felt like a serious misfire was occurring. RPS would fluctuate wildly. The CEL and misfire would come and go every couple of minutes. The next day the truck ran fine in the morning but on the way home from work the symptoms reappeared. It then progressed to stalling both at idle and at speed. Just as though the key was turned off, but it would restart immediately. The problem worsened as I tried to nurse her home. It progressed down to the point that just throwing it in drive would pull the RPMs down under 750-500 and cause the stall. This happened over about a week to 10 days as I was trying to diagnose. I checked Ford's work and discovered that ford had stripped the threading inside the engine block for the CPS bolt. After adding a longer bolt the issue cleared up for a few days but came then right back. So with some recommendations from the forum, I grabbed a new black CPS From IH and installed it. The truck ran great for a couple of weeks when the same old misfiring started to reoccur. Same chain of events as before with the truck eventually unable to go into gear. Another new CPS resolved the issue, for a week or two. Eventually three from different vendord (IH/Ford/NAPA) all failed. This is where the story dies off.
I had to undergo a series of spinal surgeries and fusions so the truck has sat for the last 5-6 months until I was well enough to get back under the hood. This is where the story picks back up. In my original post https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...oent-work.html the old culprits of CPS & IPR were mentioned.
So I figured I'd dive into the IPR possibility this time and also happen to consider myself bitten with the Powerstroke Mod Syndrome bug and so ordered an Adrenalin HPOP along with a new IPR from Bob to go with it. Installed it back on the 4th of July weekend and it has run beautifully with more response and gitty-up-and-go than I've felt in a long time since the install........until today.
I hit a rough patch of construction on the I75-I70 interchange when the engine started bucking and throwing the CEL. And as always I never get a code out of it. however, as always, my OBD scanner does show a "mis" problem. However, the stall and RPM fluctuations aren't happening, so I think the IPR/HPOP solved at least that part of the equation.
I'm going to replace the IPS just for good measure and as a just-in-case, but I'm thinking I may have wiring issues. I've scanned the forum but nothing I haven't already addressed seems to quite match my trucks symptoms. I'm back seeking ideas from the depths of the forum....

Didn't have the time to pull the passenger side. Figure I'll do that as a preventative measure here in the next couple of weeks. What a headache that will be getting all that stuff out of the way. What's the best advise to proceed with that side?
One note; When I opened up the valve I realized that back when I installed the new Adrenalin HPOP, I must of created a leak with the fuel bowl. Under pressure it's a constant drip but nothing when the engine is off. Anyone know the parts # for the rubber/silicone compression bushings for the 4 hard-lines on the bowl? Ford stealer can't seem to look them up.
