when turning left a slow speed in idle. like pulling into driveway or parking space i heard this rubbing grinding noise. a friend told me prob. hub ***. so i replaced both about 2 weeks ago.i am also getting a steady shimmy in steering wheel. a few months back i replaced end links sway bar bushings shocks and just put new steering stabalizer in it over the weekend. any input would be great. thanks in advance.
This may be a stupid question but are you stuck in 4WD? In 4WD on dry pavement you will get resistance and what sounds like a grinding sound when making turns.
both hubs are in auto mode. i dont feel any play in pitman arm. truck is stock.im baffled. and really dont wanna pay out my but for the dealer to fix it. if i could figure out the prob. i can fix it myself and save some cash for my pocket.
I have a dodge that when the brakes are hot the front left caliper will hang up causing a shimmie? Had a suburban with warped roters acted like a stuck rotor? (bad) Funny the wife drove both.
