Question ELC Coolants

I'm having trouble finding these coolants. Does anyone know where online we can order this stuff? I've been looking for any of these; Shell Rotella ELC, CAT ELC, Chevron Delo ELC, Peak Final Charge, Prestone Heavy Duty ELC, Zerex Extreme Heavy Duty. Does anyone know if Wally world sells any of these? I've called my local auto stores AZ and NAPA and neither one of them have anything. These stores here in So Cal are totally worthless!!

I bought the Shell rotell ELC at pep boys in charlotte, nc. I couldn't find it anywhere locally. They only had the pre-mixed though. I just had to replace the coolant reservoir and picked up 3 gallons (even though it didn't take that much) of the final charge global at a truck stop along I40. It's supposed to be the same thing as the Rotella ELC. My degas bottle had a hairline crack and no method of repair would fix. even the kits to patch them with fiberglass mesh and epoxy wouldn't adhere. Easy fix, I just kept putting it off, for fear of dumping too much coolant. Only had to drain about a gallon and a half to get level low enough to remove the reservoir.

anyway, check any truck stops you may be near.

Okay I'm still not having a whole lot of luck finding ELC. Here is my big question. From what I've seen on here everyone says to stay away from the green coolant. When I call the auto parts stores and tell them I want ELC concentrate not 50/50 they say oh yeah we have it. Well what color is it.... Green. WTF?? So, I keep seeing these different brands of ELC that are supposed to be Red but where are they? This link is from a post about this: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...tor-flush.html

I talked to a guy at Auto Zone today and he said he had many to choose from but again they are Green. He did say they had an orange! Now could that be the Red that everyone is talking about, or is it truly Red? I gotta get this stuff quick and I'm striking out left and right. Any ideas?

You could also go to a Ford dealer and get the gold coolant and add distilled water.

Click on California.

Just a quick look, but there's a place in Hesperia.

Do you have a CAT dealer in your area? They carry the ELC, and it is red.

Well I figured I would give you guys an update. I was able to find some coolant at another NAPA store roughly 50 miles away. Anyway I did the job last night. What a messy job especially in your driveway. I did the flush installed a 203 stat and new housing from dieselsite. That new housing is awesome!
Anyway I have a question. I filled up the system with 4 gallons of ELC and than began to top it off with distilled water. I put 2.5 gallons of water in and the system is full. Now I've heard that it may take a while for any air pockets to work their way out but I'm just wondering how long will it take, because my ratio is not correct at the moment? I'm carrying around the water with me and I keep checking it often to see if I need to add any. Any ideas, or do I just need to be patient, or do I really need to drive it a while in order to add more water?

Most Walmarts around here in Socal stopped selling Final Charge coolant 50/50%. Luckily I did mine before and still bought 2 extra bottles. I had no trouble with airpockets, I just drove it and rechecked it next morning when it cooled down.
