03' A/C problem

03' A/C problem
I have an 03' F150 SC 4x4 and just recently the A/C in Auto and Max A/C divert to the defroster mode. All other functions work fine just these two give me problems. What could the problem be? I have replaced some vaccuum lines and don't hear any kind of leak under the hood. Please help it is hot as hell here in Houston and I need my A/C.

I am guessing that you have the electronic controls or EATC in your truck. Defrost mode is the default air path if the vacuum is lost to the system. There is a vacuum line that goes through the fire wall near the battery. Check for a broken line. There is also a test mode that the electronic control head can be induced into to show trouble code. Do an advanced search for "EATC" as the search string and post made by my user name. Good luck!
