Change O2 Sensors?

Changed all 3 oxygen sensors at 52K - that was back in 1998- Do I need to change them now? 10yrs later and 170K...

BTW- in May 09, dealership ran a diagnostic; I aksed about the sensors and I was told no codes were pulled, and the sensors were not an issue.

Is each sensor different ; parts number, etc?

You probably don't need to of you don't have any codes (I think their close to $50 a piece). Some people recommend doing it as part of a major tuneup. If your willing to spend that kind of money to keep your rig running at its peak go for it. I changed out mine on my 93, but it was easier for me to justify it since it only has 1 LOL.

I agree, if you aren't having any issues, performance, mileage, etc. and no codes thrown, leave 'em alone. The more you handle an O2 sensor the more prone to failure it is anyway.

Oxygen Sensor

I have only one. It was not throwing codes either. I replaced it (Bosch with possibly 185K miles, don't know if it was OEM) with Motorcraft and the engine runs MUCH, MUCH better. Parts houses web sites vary and say replace at 60-90K.
