power steering issues

I blew the high pressure hose off my 79 in a mud bog and I am having some problems getting it figured out. I replaced the hose and get some power steering but when I shut it off it just pukes out the oil. Any ideas? I have also replaced the pump. Thanks in advance

thanks. I was thinking the same thing and tried pushing it through by hand by turning the pump. I guess I will have to extend the return line into the resevoir on top and see if I can get it out.

You should lift both front tires off the ground with the engine running and cycle the steering lock to lock a dozen times in both directions.
This should get rid of the air.

Thats what we used to do to the HMMWV's whenever we replaced a steering box or pump. Once you open the lines you introduce air and you rock the tires back and forth with the fluid cover off and wallah! You've bled the system.
