Hello, BumpSide fans, I just got a 73 ford f100 shortbox and was thinking would my 69 Bump body fit that frame, since the 73 all ready have the disc brakes in the front. All so what would need to be change ? Thanks for your help!
To answer your question, the cab/front clip is bolt hole exchange. As Dave mentioned the wider frame will call for some modding to get the bolt holes to fit.
That is on the simple end of the truck.
You can decide if you want to swap sheet metal or the I-beam setup. Either way it's bolt hole exchange.
I have never done a body swap but have done several I-beam swaps.
Thanks alot, the brake job seems like the way to go, Im going tomoorow and look at 2 more Bumpside trucks, I found a 69 long bed with a 351w thats gets driven at least 3 times a week and he have a 70 long bed with a 302 with no tranny all for $200 bucks, so i should have plenty parts. Thanks again for the info.
