The water pump/fan pulley on my 1965 240 doesn't seem to line up right with the alternator pulley or crankshaft damper pulley. It's not so bad that the belt comes off, but it makes a noticeable wobble. I thought maybe I had a loose water pump shaft that was causing this, so I replaced the water pump with a new one and it is the same. I think I may have the wrong pulley. There is no part number marked on the pulley other than a "Z" or it may be an "N" depending on how you look at it.
Here's some pictures. If you can tell that this pulley is wrong let me know, or if you have the part number for the right pulley. Or if you have the correct pulley and would like to pass it along, please PM me.
that's the wrong pully. the one you need has a deeper off set to the block. looks like some junk yard shopping is in order. mabe pm uncle_stosh. you can find him in the 80-86 forums. he's the junk yard specialist here.
Called Perogie and thought they were too high on the price. But I did find the right one at the junkyard on Monday. Belt lines up perfect now. Thanks for the help!
