just browsing the trucks and got carried away as to what is between San Francisco, Reno and Portland.
Some people have no plan at all, tear the entire truck apart, then lose interest.
Some people do both, usually it has everything to do with the lack of money, and/or "She, who must be obeyed."
Over the past 50 years or so, I've seen countless trucks in wrecking yards with more mechanical parts in the bed than anywhere else.
Some ppl come to FTE, type their grandious plans...then after a few posts, no more is ever heard from them again.
What happened to their trucks? Some could be listed in Post #1.
One fellow I recall bought the rustiest POS I ever saw, was gonna do a ground up resto.
After about 50 posts, he vanished...my guess is, his truck was ground up....with the steel sent to the orient.
The Big Dummies rule of thumb: Whatever one estimates the cost for a complete resto will be should then DOUBLE IT and add...at least 30%.

I saw the one first hand for $700 over at Tonys Ford Truck Parts. Thats not a bad truck. If someone had a motor and tranny setting around that would probably be a great buy.
