Rough Summer Starts
Still confused about rough starts on my truck. Its an 05 with 150,000 miles. Just replaced glow plugs yesterday(3 were actually leaking diesal thru the seals!) no change in starting after. Do I now look at the FICM? Trying to avoid the Dealership if possible to save $'s. If I cycle the glow plugs 2 - 3 times truck starts great and runs great immediately. If I cycle just one time it starts rough and driveability is poor for about 3 - 5 minutes.

me too
mine started doing the samething,i have a 2006 f350. coughs, smokes, sputters, terrible lol. after a few minutes of choking, it clears up and runs fine the rest of the day, just a morning thing, maybe needs coffee too. also the emissions light keeps going on and off. takingto dealer monday, hopefully covered under 100,000 mile warranty.
