Anyone familiar with the above ebay headers? Good price, but then again, you get what you pay for. I've asked the seller how thick the flanges are, how thick the tubing is, do they come with hardware, anything else I should inquire about?
As luck would have it, I can't afford a tuner right now (don't remind me, it sucks) because my $400 budget shrank due to some "other" commitments, so I'm looking at headers.
Flange is .600. Tubes are thin but they have stood up to my abuse for a couple of years. The "chrome look" disappears almost instantly but I gave mine a good coat of heat paint and they look decent.
You'll need all the hardware as they only send the collector bolts/nuts but then you'll have to re-buy those as they are too short.
The flanges are .600" thick???!!! That's almost 5/8" thick....that would be the head flange, correct? Only reason I question that is because the Gibsons (which are a decent header according to some opinion on here) only have a 3/8" thick flange.
Yes, the flanges are VERY thick on the ebay headers. Nice stuff, they've been doing alright for me for about 2 years now. The only gotcha is in my "yippee I broke a stud" thread. You need to either dent the header or notch the frame on the passenger side, and be sure to check for flange hole alignment before trying to install them.
