Couple questions...
What is an OASIS report? Saw a thread about them but it was closed.
And how do you PM someone on here? I'm very familiar with car forums but can find the way to private message on here.

When work is done on a Ford at a Ford dealer it is recorded in a national database. The report listing all said work is an OASIS report. Saved me on buying a few problematic trucks after pulling one. To send a PM you left click on the username and the tab that pops up has the option among others.

Thanks for the info on the OASIS thing.
For PM's, that's the first thing I tried, but when I left click on the username, I get four options on the tab, but none of them are to PM the person.
For example, left clicking on your name gets me this...

Oh OK, cool. I was afraid that might be it. I know another forum I'm on required X number of posts before you could link a website or post a picture. Another one required X posts before you could start your own thread. Funny thing is it had a newbie section, but you couldn't start a thread in the newbie section...because you were a newbie...lol

Hey Ken! If I recall correctly, you need a minimum of 25 posts before you get PM privileges. Also, Ford has tightened things up regarding the OASIS reports and they are no longer available through FTE. Hence the closed OASIS request threads. Best of luck and Welcome to FTE!

That's cool, I didn't "need" an OASIS report, I don't guess, since I didn't even know what it was...lol
I've always just looked at the carfax, I know they aren't 100% perfect, but it's good enough for little ole me.
