new transmission
Hi,
My transmission that is behind my 302 is gonna go pretty soon, and I'd like to know what I should put behind it? I've got a C6 lined up and ready to buy from a used parts place for 550 that includes labor to install fluid filter and seals and tranny. But is there any other transmissions i should look at before getting this? I know the C6 is a tough tranny. My dad has one in his 76 T-bird with a 460. But gas mileage is horrible. I'd still like to have OD. But i've always gotten the same response with the AOD not real good or reliable. and the E40D is electronically controlled and my computer is not hooked up. What do u think the cost to put a manual in where a Automatic was would cost? and would it be worth it?
