I doubt you've seen a billing vehicles to be honest, second I've never seen a GM frame crack from the IFS as you claim. Learn what you are talking about. EVERY brand has it's problems, heck, i'm scared to park a ford in the garage as the cruise control might cause a fire while the key is off

its alright to attack me, at some point they will be eating there words. At some point they will get a lemon of a suv as well and have to go through tons of hassle to get it fixed on there dime. EVERY BRAND HAS SOME FLAWS AND SELLS VEHICLES THAT TURN OUT TO BE LEMONS. Unfortunately for me and Ford, Ford did it to me twice in a row and for that I jumped ship. My only complaint on my new truck is the turning radius, but you get used to it.

Do I support OBAMA, hell no, as far as I am concerned he is not my president and I didnt vote for him. Do I like that he bailed out gmc, no but get over it. Its not just gmc he bailed out, how many companies took TARP money? How many of you bank with bank of america, and any of the other large banks. Unfortunately he is turning our country into a socialist regime, and if he gets this crappy universal health care passed he will send this country to an even deeper recession. This subject is pisses me off emmensely so lets change the subject.

the main Reason I went with the Chevy, other thann the actual truck and features that I got, was price. Why should I go pay 10K or more to get the same features and not necessarily any better features on a Ford. So what if I dont have cooled seats, I have remote start, the truck is cold when I get in. My truck cost me around 33K drive out and that includes the 5 yr 100K extended warranty. Sticker was close to 50K. Now tell me you would go pay 40K plus to get something else?

To comment about the frame of the chevy not being strong enough, ummmm I would have to disagree, you seem to be watching too many Ford Commercials!!!! It is plenty strong and stiff to do anything I will be giving it. I see quite a few chevy and gmc trucks on the road do work related jobs and they seem to be working just fine.

To comment on the guy who says the aftermarket parts screwed up my expedition. Well all the after market parts went on after it took for 8 times to fix the transmission. Have you ever used a programmer??? I doubt it, cause if you have you would know that the programs that Mike tunes arent for hot rodding. They improved my gas mileage and made my truck run more efficiently (engine wise). I could go on and on but its not worth it, your too stubborn to admit your probably wrong.

You try pulling a trailer 150 miles and when you are on the freeway going 55 the expediton shifts into limp mode meaning you cant go over 20 mph, did I mention I was on the freeway going up hill? I must have been hot rodding huh? The trailer i was pulling was 2500lbs approx. well under what the expedition should be able to pull. Thank got I wasnt pulling a boat, jeez I would have been really screwed.

to each there own.

Carbon no hard feelings here. I more then agree with everything u said. I own 7 fords all 4x4 autos. 97 150 v6 4 speed auto, 2 05 SD v8 and v10 5 speed autos. 07 explorer v8 6 speed auto. 07 v8 expedition 6 speed auto. 08 SD v10 5 speed auto and 09 explorer v6 5 speed and i have yet to experence any trany or engine trouble. Just lucky so far. I also own 02 half ton gmc 4x4 4 speed auto. At 50 thou the front diff went out and gm fixed it free of charge and the pickup was over 5 years old. They called it good will warranty which i know ford would never do as i had to replace right side exhaust manifold studs on the 05 v8 SD this year on a 4 year old 50 thou miles truck and this is a design flaw on fords part and ford just said 500$ please and tough sh!#. But no real engine or trany problems. I also have a year and half old 08 vette with over 6k on the clock and it has never been back to the dealer which by the way i think nobama is closing soon. Been in business since 1932. Small town dealer. Ford pulled out about 10 years ago so now they are dealerless. I wish ford would would offer the remote start on their products as it is handy and ford will only put it on at the dealers. I refuse to buy a new truck and then have to have them tear the dash apart to install something that should be done beforehand. So i just go remote startless. Ford and GM all build high quality vehicles but they all have a lemon from time to time. Good luck with your chevy. We love u man

That sucks, my expy is Truxxx leveled, rollin on mud tires, K&N, flowmaster exhaust and of my 18K miles, 12K of that is pulling a 7000 lb trailer. Never a problem. If GM was so great, why are they bankrupt? Why did they need billions of my dollars to stay afloat? Good car companies do not, not that Ford is great, but they didn't take a dime.

wow, thread went somewhat off-kilter.

How is the truck now that you've had it for a bit?

I was looking at a new 08 Tahoe LTZ last week and they wanted $50,000 for it. Nice, but nothing special. My Limited has the equivalent options and I paid $12,000 less. You guys on the Mainland are so lucky. Dealerships out here still think car sales aren't affected by the economy.

that is just a stupid comment.

please read up on what Ford did back in 2007 when they saw this Recession coming. You can say Ford "took" Middle East money...but any savy investor would do similar.

Still love the truck. On the road I get around 19-20 mpg, around town around 15-16. Have almost 3000 miles driven and not one rattle or anything to complain about. Its nice hitting the accelerator and hearing the V8 purr and actually going somewhere instantly instead of having about a delay like my expedition had.

Response to why GMC is losing there ***, maybe because the unions, healthcare, cost of pensions (retirement for past workers) and a number of other things. I am pretty sure GMC has more vehicles on the road than ford, but there costs are higher because of things mentioned above, not for lack of providing nice vehicles.

That last picture there gives no details about the broken frame. Hell all we no that truck could have been wrecked or whatever. What year ............. I can probably do a search on google and find an F150 and for that matter any brand truck that has a broke frame. I am guessing if I put way over the max guidelines of weight that is allowed in the bed, worse case scenario the frame would crack or break. Trucks can only take so many beatings. If you take care of any vehicle you shouldnt have a problem.

Was the 08 used or new? Damn thats a rip off, maybe try buying it someplace else and shipping it in. Shipping would cost less than getting screwed on the truck.

brand new Tahoe LTZ

it was marked at $46,000 today when I was driving by.

I was wanting a Denali Yukon XL with the 6.0 in it...but I'm very happy with my Expy now.

Maybe next time. We'll see how the cards lay in about 5 yrs

I don't understand this expy v8 bashing. Mine has instant power and more then enough. I have driven the new chevys and feel no difference in acceleration, somebody smoking something good.

Stop talking about how good your government vehicle is and get off this forum and start making friends on the GMC forum.

I'll get to the point in a minute, we have gone out west the last 3 summer's to see the kid's in Montana,we fly out and rent an SUV,this year we went with budget's mini lease,I can't drive my expedition from Florida to Montana and run around "7" other state's putting 7,000 mile's on their "SUV AFTER FLYING IN" for under $1000.00 the lease cost me,now the point,we have done this 3 time's in as many year's,the 1'st time we had a Jeep Grand cherokee which was the best of the lot,IF I could have got the family in Florida to fit in the Jeep I would have bought one to replace our 10 year old,at that time ,97 explorer, next came a chevy trailblazer,JUNK" and this year we had a Nissan Pathfinder pure JUNK,more so than the Chevy, what was wrong, the chevy seat's were like sitting on a wood park bench, try that for 5 week's,road noise was allfull, trans shifted up and down on every little grade,chevy's/GM, have done that for that last 30 year's,the radio was tinny sounding, rode like a hay rack,I know,I used to farm!!!!,the pathfinder,NEED'S premium fuel, what's up with that and in a rental no less,no power on hill's.6-8 %,it die's,does not hold the road, shimmie's on ribble's on blacktop, the road noise was allfull,on the interstate some one comming up behind me sounded like he was going to park it in the rear end,the hatch was closed tight but the gravel road dust in the national park's sucked in the back and got all over our bag's,AND THE REST OF THE INSIDE OF THE SUV,again,if the Jeep would have worked I was impressed enough to buy one but we traded the explorer for the 07 expedition and love it,one final thing I forgot, the midsize pathfinder with a 4.0 V 6 get's the same milage as the wife's 5.4 V8 FULL SIZE SUV, and that's over 7,000 mile's,in town,on the interstate and at 40-45 mph in the national park's,I'll keep my FORD'S thank you,a good idea before you lay out $40,000.00 or more for a new SUV or car/truck for that matter is RENT ONE FOR A WEEK!!!!!,you can still get a lemon no matter what brand you buy,BUT you will have a better idea of what it is your buying.
