Paint codes
I was looking at the Ditzler paint site which is suppose to be good for paint chips and I did not see black listed for 49' trucks. I am sure they offered black as a color. Whats the deal?

Well, I think a better question is what colors of black you wanted to see. Shoot there's about 25 different whites.
Black was always an option - as was primer. If old HF had his way everything would have been painted black

This is the place I use for paint chips and for 1949 Ford Trucks I dont see black on the old paint chip though.

I did a search for 1949 Ford Cars and still no black so apparently black is black so it wasnt listed. But they did offer black though for sure.
But it can be hard finding the correct shade or paint. Im still trying to find argent silver in a spray can. I found one from eastwood but its a texture based paint to give the argent silver rough texture found on some tail light housings.
And I just noticed that the link was posted before didnt see that. Oh well its still a great site in my book since it covers all years paint chips.
