I have an 88' F-150 4x4 w/ 302, AOD, 4.10 gears, and 148k...

When I drive in "D" not "OD" there is something weird
going on...I can feel the truck surge very slightly
back and forth...in "1st" and "OD" the problen is not there.

Torque converter Problem? Or just plain "wore out"...

Don't know much if anything about trannies but don't want to
get taken to the cleaners either.

Any help or good web site would be great...
