I know this should be in the Bodywork forum but replies there take forever. I'm having a problem while trying to buff away the haze that is left behind after wet-sanding. I used 2000 grit to sand the doors, when the doors are wet and you cant see the haze it looks AWESOME, but once it dries and I try to remove it with some rubbing compound I'm still having problems with the haze. Should I try a higher grit rubbing compound and see if I can bum a machine buffer?

You will definately need a buffer to do that kind of work. You will be at it a long time by hand. There is a process you need to follow, starting with a med cut and a cloth pad, then I like to use a foam pad and a light grit, followed by yet another foam pad and a machine glaze. The terms differ from product line to product line. I have had best luck with the 3m stuff and meguiars. Your best bet is to find an auto parts counter guy who knows his stuff and start asking questions.

Get a buffer with a terry cloth bonnet, and some turtle wax polishing compound. Have fun, and follow up with a good car wax.
