hey guys i was hoping i could get some good advice on my truck.
I have a 1960 f350 and it has a 6 lug 7.25 bolt pattern, however i cant seem to find any replacement brakes for it and I also need to change the bolt pattern.
So I was told to replace the whole rear end and the front hubs so that I could change the lug pattern and be able to find brakes for it.The guy at the parts store told me any f350 from 60 to 67 should have interchangeable rear ends.
Would I just be able to change out the rear axles and front hubs instead of the whole rear end? And what axles would I replace them with?
What is the best way to address this whole thing, I'm kinda new to alot of this.
I dont know what rear end is in it right now but im pretty sure that it is stock since i inherited it from my grandfather.
I don't know anything about F350s, but it would seem like a good time to do a front disc upgrade and get a bolt pattern that you want. Maybe you can use the stuff from a smaller truck, too and get out of it cheaper. For the rear, you can probably find axles or have them made that are the same length and same spline count. By the time you pay for custom axles it might just be cheaper to swap in a different rear, more of a hassle, though.
But like I said, I don't know what an F350 came with.
