well tires is one thing i dont like cheaping out on
on my dailyreiver i have 33/12.50.r15 bfg A/T's
and on my 4x4 i hav 35/12.50/r15 bgf M/T's

they are not on the cheep side things
but very good tires
the A/T's i think are better than the M/T's
but thats because the M/T's are not ment for the road
my A/T's have about 25,000km on them and they got about 75% tread left

i love both sets
but tell him to save a little bit more money and he wont regret it

I don't go off road, but I own Dayton Timberline M/T's. They look great and the price was right. There were about half the price of BFG A/T's. Tell your buddy to look at Timberline's M/T's.

What does he plan on doing with this Jeep? How much off-road use and how much street use?

These are my first set. I've put under 5,000 miles on these tires. I see many Heavy Duty trucks including Dullies who run these tires. Talking to the owners, they all say these are great tires.I doubt they take their Dullies off road?

I'm running them on the truck in my sig. She's a pavement pounder but I tried to make her off road worthy too; and she is.

For the price, from what I hear, you cannot beat these tires. I like them myself. Highway road noise kind of sucks but my truck isn't sound proofed very well at all. Put these on a truck that has better soundproofing than mine and it wouldn't be bad at all.
