Because the truck has already been customized/modified from original (engine, exhaust, etc.), hubby and I have decided that we'll continue in that vein.
We'll keep the exterior pretty much original, but go with total custom interior.
Now to the question:
First thing hubby wants to change is the steering wheel. SMALLER!
Thoughts? Something nice we could pick up (preferably) locally? Something that would, with a kit?, be simple and FAST.
If you do not have power steering it will be very hard to turn with that 4wd chassis. I had a 2wd with the small wheel and it was a real workout at parking spaces.

I put a Grant wheel in my 64 without power steering. Just have to get it rolling to turn easily. At a dead stop it was a pain. Grant has mounting kits. My newest one was around $100 with mounting kit from Summit.
The 1964 Falcon/Comet 2 spoke wheel uses a different horn ring or horn button than in 1963.
The 1965 Falcon/Comet 2 spoke wheel is different than a 1964 and not only uses a different horn ring/button, but the plastic retainer used to retain either is 1965 and later only.
Neither of these wheels will fit a 1961/66 properly.
The F100/350's steering wheel changed designs in 1971, as Ford went to a slightly smaller two spoke wheel (16 1/2") which used a horn pad instead of a horn button or ring.
The 1971 steering wheel was later replaced by the two spoke 1974 wheel (D4TZ3600A), which looks the same as the 1971 wheel, but is even smaller in diameter.
I cannot recall if D4TZ3600A is 15 or 16 inches and the parts catalog doesn't say.
So...D4TZ3600A fits: 1971/77 F100/350 / 1974/77 Bronco and 1975/77 Econoline.
