I have a 68 f250 with 4 speed tranny , It will only start in neutral. When I depress the clutch it will slowly start to stall. Will not start when clutch is too the floor! I checked wires shorting ,fuel lines being crimped NOTHING!! If it was my throw out bearing shouldnt it be squealing? The last owner changed the clutch about a year ago but never put in the new pilot bearing because he didnt have the tool. Will the pilot bearing or to bearing make the truck stall when clutch is pressed down?
If the flywheel been shaved to many times the clutch hub will start rubbing on the top of the flywheel bolt heads. So just maybe the clutch hub is hanging up on them when you push it all the way down. Ha, I see a lot of guys buy used flywheels off eBay instead of buying a new trying to save a few bucks...If you pull it down, Look at the flywheel bolt heads and, I'll bet the heads our being ground off a long with the clutch hub springs our locking on to them.. my 2cents
