I own a 2006 Ford F-150. I bought the truck in a "basic package" with nothing to fancy. After doing some research I would like to upgrade the rims. Currently I have 17" basic rims. Does anybody have any thoughts or opinions on wheel options for the truck? Not sure, but I would like to go with a 17" HD Ford OEM wheel. Or at least a HD Ford rim.
OEM rims are expensive!! you could get some very very nice rims and maybe even tires for the price of oem rims, but then again you should be able to find a good gently used set of OEMs
My new truck came with the chrome clad steel wheels. I put on a set of Ion Alloy and really like them. Have a look around and see what's out there. Pay attention to offset as the ones i bought stick out about 1 1/2 to 2" but i have purchased bushwacker pocket flares to cover them. Also, unless you lift your truck you will limit the number of options out there. I don't think they have changed things so look for 6 on 135 bolt pattern on ebay.
