Too much tranny fluid?

Seems that when I swapped out to the 6.0 transmission cooler the other day, I may have topped the system off with a little too much fluid. I dont know how, because the new cooler should be requiring a couple of quarts, and I didn't put that much back in. But anyways, is it really a problem if the fluid is a little on the high side? Do I really need to drain the excess?

Brings me to another question, is there any way to make sure the fluid is running through the new cooler? I guess I'm just a little worried that it isn't going into the cooler, which may be why the fluid level is showing on the high side.

Thanks,
Bob

Take the line off the trans like you're doing the flush (rear port, IIRC). If fluid comes out, it's flowing out of the cooler. It'll also let you drain some out.

No sweat. If I had been here a few minutes earlier, you wouldn't have had to search for it.
The roadside help network has links to a lot of this stuff. I have a link to it in my signature. You should bookmark their page. (and you should join it too )
