worth the work?

for those of you that took the time to fab up a ram air intake, was it worth the hassel? I'm thinking about makeing one up for my N/A 6.9 and was wondering if it was worth my time. what increase in performance did you get?

Cooler EGT's and better combustion on cooler days.

Yes, I think it even helped my turbo motor.

I noticed a 1-2 MPG loss when I had the ram intake removed for some reason. That was back before the turbo however. I've never run the truck without the ram intake ever since. Didn't have a pyro gauge back then.
