If you used a different brand of oil on every oil change it's highly unlikely that it would cause your motor to start using oil.

This is one of the oil myths that have been around for decades.

I use different oil brands on a regular basis. I also switch between a full synthetic and a synth blend depending on the season. No problems, no worries.

You will have different levels of additives in the oil that you change too. That won't really change oil usage.

Your using a mighty good product & a good value, so why change brands????

Anyway, the guys are right changing brands to the same specified weight & service grade, isn't likely to cause consumption problems, unless the brand changed too has a greater high temp % evaporation (NOAC) & you operate at high ambient temps, for long periods, like long, hot, high speed highway runs, while towing, hauling, or operating the A/C around town in hot stop & go driving for extended periods.
