Not sure about a 292 but I remember reading somewhere that there is a "too small" or restrictive oil passage in y blocks that can clog a little, but can be cured by removing an oil galley plug in the side or sides of the block and exposing the passage then drilling it out a little larger? Something to look into maybe. If that cure does exist, probably better done during a rebuild so that any shavings could be washed out. Hope you get the correct info and solve it without too much trouble. Anyone else ever hear of that? I'de like to know also. Mark
