I "Twitted" once.
Don't know why I even opened up a Twitter account. I dropped my MySpace account and am seriously thinking of doing away with my Facebook account.
Facebook has put me in touch with people I went to school with back in the 60s and that's a good thing. But it has become "bloated" with all the apps and quizzes that folks on there come up with and is pretty much going the MySpace route.
Me either. I don't even have a myspace or a facebook account. The only time I go to sites like that is when I am doing research on a potiential new employee.
A lot of time I disqualify potiential new hires because of some of the crap they put up on myspace and/or facebook.
MySpace is how i find out who heathers new squeeze is, what she is doing etc. She will tell me one thing on the phone but a whole other side of her lives on through Myspace. Yes i spy therefor I am.
I don't Twitter, MySpace, or Facebook. Never have, don't ever plan on doing so. I figure those who know me already, well, know me already, so there's not much point of being "social". I'll be fine living here underneath this bridge.
That reminds me to update. I don't know why I do it, I don't follow anyone but funnyordie, a few people follow me but I don't know them. They need help falling asleep I guess. Facebook and myspace I keep in touch with family and friends, easiest way to let everyone know what I'm doing as much as I move around.
I give some of the other mods crap on facebook.... past that, its of no real value
I see FB as a fun way to keep in touch with people but beyond that, it has allowed me to reconnect with a bunch of people I was in the service with 20-25 years ago before email and cell phones made keeping in touch so easy. There are still a lot of people left I'd like to find but as the network grows, it gets easier and easier.
As for all the apps and dumb-*** quizzes on FB, they can keep them.
To me, Twitter seems kinda pointless. I can't answer a yes or no question in 140 characters or less.
