Does anyone know how to open up the PDB on a '96 E350? I've got a short that I have traced back, and I think it is in the box. I want to get inside and check everything behind the maxi fuses, but I don't know how to open it up. Help??
There is a large bundle of wires going into the PDB, but no connector that I could see. I was hoping that there was a way to lift up the plastic panel beneath the fuses to access the wiring from the top, but I haven't figured that out yet. I can detach the PDB itself and rotate it 180, but it didn't give me any access from the bottom side.
Per our other thread, I think we have narrowed our issue down to the aux batt relay.
As far as the PDB, I can't get anywhere near those wires. We cut the tape around of them off to see if there was a terminal block that we could unplug, but there isn't, just wires going into the PDB. I could barely get my hand down there with my knife to cut the tape, so I know that I can't get to where I could see into it...but, hopefully I won't need to now.
