i was talking about my friend hunting down the 460 lol
oh lol.
So can you or anyone answer the valve cover thing. I dont see why it being EFI would make it need special valve covers but i wanna know before i go off buying a bunch of crap.
I was just looking at valve covers from summit and someone told me the ones in there wont fit because of something special on my truck
You need truck specific valve covers because the oil fill tube is on the drivers side and there is a port in the back of the passenger cover for the PCV valve. The car valve covers have the oil fill on the passenger side front which won't work on a truck because the upper intake is in the way, and there is no PCV port in either cover.

So as long as its for a truck it will work is what your saying?
This one is for 92-96. The one for 87-91 looks a bit different. I think either will work.
Don't waste you money on a throttle body spacer. It will do absolutely nothing for and EFI motor. It really only works on carberators and throttle body injection setups.
I have a huge truck parts place here that i could get one from. Whats it called. Is that a stock piece. If i tell them I6/460 tube will they know what im talking about.
I got mine one Ebay. You may have to go to a salvage yard. You could also try craigslist. I don't think they are available new any more. They used to be about 20 bucks at the dealer. You could try that.
dont laugh ill show you what i did tho the only thing i got out of it was more of a WAAAAA sound when i get on it lol you can kinda see that white pipe on the bottom (feeds from one of those square holes next to the radiator)

No offense, but that setup is going to do nothing for performance. It is just going to suck in hot underhood air. They will probably let in more dirt as well. The factory setup is better.
