A sure fire way to know is to barrow 1 from another truck and plug it in. Also, you can take it off and shake it! if it has water in it, it is not good.
When mine went out I went to the junkyard and found a couple in some old ambulances. 3 of them had water in them and 4th one did not. $50 later I was on the road again.

If you ever are in need of a new IDM let me know. I have a spare 120v IDM that has been remanned and has a warranty on it.

Can you still get your hands on those at the yard that had water in them?
If you can, for really cheap, it'd still be worth it. Well, I'd be interested anyway.

You can get an upgraded IDM from Beans or Swamps. Should be around $100 if you send yours in as a core.

This was about 2 years ago. I can check to see if they have anymore. They come and go quickly (I would imagine). I will check this week if they have any and let you know. I will PM you with the results.
