For years and with several trucks, I always need to pull open the latch handle to close the tailgate. I can not just push the tailgate shut.
1) Is there someting I can do to make the latches move easier?
2) I happened to be near a newer pickup yesterday and saw the bearclaw type latching. It opened and closed like I would never have expected in a truck. Has anyone insatlled this type of latching on their truck? Does anyone make a conversion kit? Would this be an idea that would sell?
Thanks for your help.
I have to open the handle on my gate to in order to close it, but to me that isn't too much of a deal. Makes closing the gate a little less barbaric rather than just slamming them closed like I see most guys with their newer trucks.
