Where is it? I'm installing an in-dash TV in my 2001 Navigator and the only thing left is to connect the "pink" wire to the parking brake switch which obviously tells the head unit to not allow me to watch the TV while driving. I already have the bypass code so that's not a problem. I tried looking around where the parking brake is but I had no idea what I was looking for.
Well, when you find something that looks like the PB switch, you want to tap the light green with red stripe wire.
I "think" its up under the dash at the head of the parking brake, but I'm not sure. I need to know also, as I'm doing the same install this weekend.
I need to do some probing, but another option might be to tap the pink /white stripe wire going up to the instrument panel. That's the wire for the brake light on the dash, but I don't know if it's hot or gnd when the brake is engaged. If you can find that wire, trace it back to the daylight running module, and then find the other one?
PS - Where did you tap in for the reverse sense wire?

You can just ground the pink wire, which is all that happens when the parking brake is applied.
But if you insist...the switch is located at the very back edge of the PB assembly. By back edge I mean towards the rear of the vehicle. The push button part of the switch moves straight up and down.

Ok at least Alloro said it and not me 'cause I was thinking it! Keep in mind that there are laws in all 50 states against this since it "Techically" enables the monitor to play video while driving.
I'm going to wire mine through a DPDT swith under the dash so that it is connected to the parking brake (in case of getting pulled over) and also running a lead to ground so that it'll be active all the time.

Using a switch is actually a better idea. After reading the manual, I see that the brake has a toggled sequence of off for 2 seconds then back on to turn on the video. They probably require this change in electrical state to prevent people from just grounding the pink wire.
So about an hour after I posted this thread I ran into some bad luck driving home. My "OD OFF" (overdrive) started flashing and when I tried driving, it would lurch forward about 1 foot and then the truck would shut off. I ended up having it towed to a shop so I had to remove the indash tv before I left it there.
I'm hoping it's something simple as a speed sensor because I do not have cash to do a rebuild on this damn tranny. It's funny because I felt like I jinxed myself earlier in the day because my boss and I was discussing how he's been having small tranny problems with his 07 Expy and my 02 Nav didn't have not one tranny problem. I've done some searching on here and it seems as if it's a common problem and I'm hoping to spend the least amount of money possible or it will have to sit for a long time or sold as-is. *sigh* We'll see....Idk man. I just seriously need a reliable vehicle.

Hmm, sounds suspicious. Maybe you should send "Guido the Enforcer" to have a talk with your boss.
Getting a code for torque converter clutch solenoid circuit. Maybe the solenoid is bad or there's a connector issue. Anybody has a link to test this thing?
