i mainly use my 80e but latley ive been in my 120 tune, its awsome and its a whole new truck, i mean you obviousl dont get a full 120 at the wheels but you get a good 80 of it and its the difference between light and day. and the difference between tow tunes is basically just the shift points, tyhe 40 would be for heavy loads and high shift points and the 80 would be more of a light tow with slighty bumped up shift points than stock and mabe some difference TC logic. but alot of the guys over at PSN leave theres ove 140 tune all the time wheter there towing or not. they say there MPGS are higher and the shift points are better whether they have stock sticks or not
so should I just get the 140hp tune and not worry about it? I know i won't get that much of a gain but it would probably be the same as a 120hp tune right?
I'm thinking about getting either stock or economy, smoke, 40hp tow, and 140hp performance
i probably wouldn't even use the economy setting... haha
Having too hot of a tune, i guess i'll use hot, will cause the truck to stutter, because it cannot deliver the fuel.
I noticed this in Ron86toys truck. His TW chip must have been setup for bigger injectors, so he couldn't even use 2 of the settings. The truck would loose pretty much all power.
i guess i'll just call when I'm ordering it... see what Tony or DP Tuner says about which performance tune to get. I'm thinking 100hp or 120hp at the most.
