Vibration When Turning
My 05 PSD has developed a strange vibration. It's very specific about when it's present. From a Stop sign or red light, if I turn right or make a sharp left and accelerate normally, there's a vibration or shuddering feeling for a few seconds. If I drive off straight or sweep the turn out, it doesn't do it. If I turn and go slowly till I complete the turn, it doesn't do it. As near as I can tell, it's coming from the rear. Any ideas?

It's not the ball joints. They're tight. I wondered about the limited diff so I pulled the plug. When I stuck my finger in to feel for oil, there was a hard ring of sludge around the hole. It felt a little low so I bought some oil. Next day, I pulled the plug and it had about 1/4" of almost solid deposit on it. I assume it's magnetic? I guess a trip to the Ford House is my next step.
