wiring harness part #'s???

hey guys, I am trying to hunt down some wiring harnesses for my 78 f-150.

I'm looking for the main harness that has the fuse block on it, the engine harness, both light harnesses and the frame/tailight harness.

If anyone with the books etc. could possibly find these numbers for me I would appreciate it Immensly!

My truck is a 1978 f-150 300-6 4-speed. It has dual tanks, idiot lights for alt and oil and NO a/c. IF you could find a number for one WITH a/c and dual tanks that is fine too as I have an A/C cab I might use.

thanks in advance!

There are three different wiring harnesses listed depending on the serial number of your truck. All fit 1978 model F100-350, either 6 or 8 cylinder, warning lights, with auxilliary fuel tank. No distinction made as to transmission or with/without A/C (I believe that is a separate wiring harness).
Part Number D8TZ-14401-F before s/n BE0,001
D8TZ-14401-M s/n BE0,001>CA0,001
D8TZ-14401-U from s/n CA0,001
This is the main harness that has the fuse block on it and goes under the dash.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

Where can you get said wiring harness? And how much do you need to shell out?

Here are some more numbers:
D7TZ-13076-A Headlight wiring assy. includes parking lamp and marker lamp leads
D7TZ-14289-M Dash> engine feed, 300 6 cyl.
The frame harness has several different versions depending on 2wd/4wd, wheelbase w-w/o camper special pkg. etc. ( I counted 5 different harnesses).

ok mike. thanks a ton so far! If I could be so kind (no rush) to help out with the frame harness a bit more specifically?

mine is 78 f-150 4wd 300-6 4-speed (NP-435) Eight foot bed. NON camper special etc. NO trailer brakes etc. Just the standard unit.

Could you possibly post those five part numbers please?

Don't imagine you have any idea what the difference would be on that man harness in regards to serial numbers?

The p/n for the frame wiring harness is D8TZ-14405-G
'78 F150/250 Reg cab, 6 or 8 cyl., 4WD, 133" WB, w/o camper special pkg.
As for the differences between the main wiring harnesses. I wouldn't have a clue as to what they are. The only people who knew are probably dead and buried by now, or at least well into their retirement years.
The other part numbers for the frame harness are all the same basic number and prefix, only the suffix letter changes, so the other harnesses are p/n D8TZ-14405-D, B, L, F, H, P, or K. There are actually 8 different harnesses, The list continued onto the next page and I didn't catch that until now.

I went back and checked, it doesn't say anything about aux. fuel tank on any of them.
My guess (and thats all that it is) is there is an additional harness for the dual tanks or the harness has the wiring in it for the aux. tanks, if you don't have the second tank you'll have an unused plug on the harness.
