54 Door Window installation help

Just started installing the New Glass in the doors of my 1954 F100 and I am having some trouble getting the glass to go up and down smoothly.

I didn't see anything Binding, I am going to closely look tonite, but I was wondering if anyone had idea's or knew of any known issues in getting the glass to move slowly

Did you put in new window runners/felts check to ensure you don't have a rivet in the channel, also check the window mechanism to make sure it operates smoothly without the glass attached, put some grease on the teeth and on the crank handle teeth and any other location where there's a rivet that pivots. Also make sure your windoe channel isn't bent.

I had the same problem on my 53 when I installed new window felts to replace the disintegrated old ones. It seems the doors had been slammed shut so many times that the window opening in the door had closed up and I had to use wedges to open it back up. I hope yours is a simpler fix.

Try loosening the screws that hold the channels on the side of the door and move them in or out while rolling the window up and down. The channels fit tight on new felts.
